- Chris Hemsworth, sooner rather than later, is going to leave the MCU.
- The Men in Black: International star might return for a last Thor film.
- Thor 5 might witness the introduction of two new characters: Hercules and Balder the Brave.
When Avengers: Endgame hit the theatres, many fans knew that they had seen the best of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Who could better the hype generated by a band of heroes that united to protect fifty percent of the universe? And they were truly. Since then, the MCU has lost its way here and there, with the new characters failing to generate the hype. Yet, there still remain a few characters who are a part of the old guard, Thor being one such character. And it seems like even his time is up.
Chris Hemsworth has been a part of the MCU for a long time
Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is one of the characters who has been associated with the MCU since phase one of the franchise. Having wielded the hammer for many movies, he is one of the more loved characters of the franchise.
One of the last active members of the OG Avengers, that faced Loki in the Battle of New York, his departure will mark the end of an era. And it seems like the time is nigh. Rumors are running wild that Thor 5 will be the last entrant in the franchise. And it is going to see the introduction of some major characters.
Thor 5 will witness the introduction of new characters in the MCU
The last movie in the Thor franchise will serve as a chance for Marvel Studios to ring in some new changes, including the introduction of some new characters. Word has it that the character will be none other than the demigod, Hercules.
Fans got their first glimpse of MCU’s Hercules at the end of Thor: Love and Thunder, with Brett Goldstein essaying the role. In spite of the fact that the movie has not yet been confirmed, the rumor mill isn’t stopping churning the news forward. He’s not the only new character on the board though.
Balder the Brave is likely to join the cast
The last entry in the Thor franchise is also expected to witness the introduction of Balder the Brave, Thor’s half-brother. His inclusion was prompted in Episode 3 of Loki‘s 2nd Season. The character’s exclusion thus far has been perplexing to many. The men at the helm of the MCU might be looking to rectify that.
