Selena Gomez gets caught ‘texting a cute boy’ on her cooking show… amid her new romance with Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez was caught texting ‘a cute boy’ during a recent episode of her Food Network series Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays.

Gomez, 31, who was cooking with Chef Eric Adjepong, was eyed typing away on her phone by co-host, Raquelle Stevens.

‘Sel, who are you texting?’ her longtime close friend asked, before the Vogue cover girl attempted to obscure a bashful smile.

‘Look, it’s hard out there,’ Selena, who is dating Benny Blanco, quipped before Stevens teased, ‘I could probably guess who.’

During another moment in the show, the former child star made a party foul as she realized she forgot to set a timer for the cake they were baking.

The camera zoomed in on the pop star as she realized her fumble.

She expressed shock before a replay of her heading to set the timer before she became distracted as she replied to a text sent from a ‘mystery recipient.’

Adjepong went to check on the cake and later declared: ‘It’s definitely time to take it out.

Attempting to salvage the overdone baked good, he said to the women, ‘It’s okay actually. It’s um…totally fine.’

Stevens then clarified the chef was ‘just being nice.’

But he insisted, ‘No, no, no. I actually like it a little bit over. I’m being completely honest.’

It comes after the Only Murders in the Building star recently shared that she’s been dating music producer Blanco for six months.

Selena and Benny previously worked together on three songs, including the 2021 tune I can’t Get Enough.

While talking to Vogue Mexico, the star shared what she looks for when it comes to romantic relationships.

‘Honestly, I have to start being attracted to the right kind of people,’ she stated. The interview took place before the couple confirmed their romance.

‘It’s very hard to find someone who can listen to you and care about you. But I know when it happens it will be great and you will want it to be healthy,’ she added.

The Texas native also noted, ‘I firmly believe that everything in my life happens for a reason. I always try to say: “What’s the lesson here? I want to learn the lesson and I want to grow from this.”‘
