However, his involvement in the storyline has come with certain doubts about the future of the superstars that he is currently surrounded with, in the promotion. Jim Cornette recently addressed these doubts on the 522nd episode of the Jim Cornette Experience.

While talking about The Rock’s involvement in the promotion’s biggest ongoing storyline, Cornette shed light on how this could mean a significant change in Roman Reigns‘ character in the future following WrestleMania 40.

Dwayne Johnson may act as a catalyst for change

Moving forward, the creative direction that WWE seems to be heading toward is that all of this is a part of the new TKO director’s plan. Involving Cody Rhodes in the feud to dethrone Reigns could also be a part of Johnson’s plan. This would mean that due to his actions, Roman Reigns may be expelled from his stable, potentially making him a babyface.

“He [Paul Heyman] is gonna stick around and wait to see who comes out on top of this, probably. Or potentially, he would go with The Rock obviously to add extra heat, but this may be a part of The Rock’s plan at some point to give a catalyst turn to Roman babyface,” said the former WWE employee.

Since The Brahma Bull would have gotten his cousin into all this trouble, it would end up with another match between them and because Johnson had already become a heel, according to Cornette, Reigns may need to turn face for this to happen.

Fans have already started picking on hints regarding how Dwayne Johnson is planning everything ahead of the events and will be ready to overthrow his Samoan cousin.

A few SmackDowns ago, The People’s Champion was crowned an official member of The Bloodline. At Salt City Lake, not a lot of fans noticed something that came into vision when the same clip was posted online. As a result, the viewers picked on small details that pointed toward the possibility that Johnson was not happy serving under The Tribal Chief.

So, all these teases and hints could lead to the possibility of DJ betraying his cousin and taking over The Bloodline. In this scenario, Jim Cornette’s prediction might come true.
