Jennifer Lopez shot to fame in the early 1990s as a TV show dancer.
The 47-year-old pop star showed she still has the moves Wednesday during an appearance on The Tonight Show.
Jennifer who was a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color competed in a Dance Battle against host Jimmy Fallon, 42, on the NBC chat show.
They both pulled out dance descriptions from a Velvety Dance Bag and then made up a jig on the spot.
Jennifer performed a Washing Machine Spin Cycle dance by moving her hips faster and faster in a circle and rotating her long hair.
She also was tasked with a Hot Cowboy dance and pretended to put on a cowboy hat before gyrating again.
Jennifer and Jimmy decided to stop competing and teamed up for a dance based on Seeing Yourself On The Jumbotron.
They pretended to eat popcorn before looking up and dancing for the imaginary Jumbotron camera.
Jennifer donned a Sophie Theallet herringbone long sleeve blouse with matching high-waisted trousers for her appearance on the chat show.
She was promoting the upcoming second season of her NBC police drama Shades Of Blue.
Jennifer plays New York City Police Department Detective Harlee Santos on the show.
She shared a clip of herself and co-star Ray Liotta, 62, from the series.
Jennifer revealed that her nine-year-old twins Maximilian and Emme ‘want their own YouTube channels’.
‘I don’t even know what it is,’ she admitted.
She reminded Jimmy that he has not yet attended her Las Vegas residency show.
‘I’m never on the West Coast,’ claimed Jimmy before promising to make a special trip for the show.
Jennifer said that her mother Guadalupe was her ‘biggest fan’.
She recalled Kerry Washington and LaVerne Cox enjoying her performance in Sin City.
‘It makes me so happy, but nobody compares to my mom,’ Jennifer said.
‘She dances the whole show, she knows the routines. People go ”I missed that part, I was watching your mom”,’ Jennifer said.
Jimmy singled out Guadalupe in the audience and asked her to show the dance moves to Hold It Don’t Drop It.
Guadalupe stood up and scooted over to the aisle to perform the dance routine.
‘And that’s my mom,’ Jennifer said.
