Jennifer Lopez loves a nostalgic fashion moment and, well, same. Whether she’s reinventing her iconic Grammys Versace jungle dress look at the brand’s runway show (19 years later, no less) or giving us major flashbacks to her Maid in Manhattan wardrobe, JLo is all about embracing her most famous outfits over the years.
Now, to announce the launch of her latest album, she’s gone and recreated one of her most memorable covers.
This weekend, the 53-year-old took to Instagram to share an epic clip letting fans know that she’s releasing new music in 2023 (!!). The video starts with Jennifer wearing the same pink flutter sleeve dress and beanie look that featured on the front of her 2002 album, titled This Is Me… Then.
Next minute, the scene transitions to JLo rocking a micro corset teamed with a mega low-rise mini skirt and matching oversized jacket as she says the words “This is me… now” (AKA the name of her new album). Yep, this whole thing is downright iconic.
The upcoming album “chronicles the emotional, spiritual and psychological journey that she has taken over the past two decades,” according to People.
