Dua Lipa has been branded a “loser” by fans after failing to perform with Sir Elton John during his legendary Glastonbury Festival debut yesterday evening, as people were left puzzling over “what could be more important” than singing with the music icon.
Music fans have slammed pop star Dua Lipa for not performing with Sir Elton John during his Glastonbury debut last night, which saw the legend end his final tour with a bang.
Dua, 27, had been one of several favourites tipped to accompany the musician onstage for what has been billed as his final performance.
The Rocket Man star closed the music festival on the Pyramid Stage with several hits from the seventies and eighties, including Tiny Dancer and Your Song.
However, the British Albanian pop star was nowhere to be seen as she confirmed to her 88.4 million Instagram followers that she had not attended the festival.
She shared photos of an intimate meal with family and friends via her story instead, as she relaxed in one photo with a pal and a dog.

She later acknowledged Sir Elton’s legendary performance by reposting a video of him performing their 2021 hit Cold Heart (PNAU Remix).
Dua reacted with several hand-heart emojis as she showed her appreciation of the performance, which featured the singer in the video montage of the stage background.
Some fans were disappointed that Sir Elton performed alone, with one writing on Twitter: “Sorry Dua Lipa but where on earth is more important to be right now than the headlining performance of Glastonbury with Elton John?”
Another added: “Dua Lipa not dropping whatever she is doing to sing Cold Heart with Elton John for his farewell at Glastonbury is loser behaviour.”(sic)

The Versace guest designer first debuted at the festival in 2017, with fans hoping she would perform again.
“Bit unfortunate for Elton John that Dua Lipa chose #Glastonbury for the first night she stayed at home in three years,” another person quipped.
Sir Elton has always praised his younger peers including the New Rules star, who he gushed over in a conversation with PEOPLE at his Academy Awards Viewing Party earlier this year.
He spoke highly of Dua regarding their collaboration process, admitting: “She didn’t need that much advice.”
He added: “She’s so smart, and she’s so grounded, and so in touch with what’s happening. She’s a delight to be with.
