Dua Lipa is slipping on a mermaid tail and blue wig to play a Mermaid Barbie in the upcoming Barbie movie, but the Dreamhouse vibes are strong with the star even when she’s not on set — as evidenced by her new teeny tiny sparkly pink Versace bikini.
Lipa, who has been working with the Italian fashion house for several years, shared some behind-the-scenes pics from her latest Versace campaign, posing with a Barbie pink convertible in a matching bikini, mini bag, and platform shoes.
Barbie would absolutely approve of Lipa’s two-piece; it’s a classic triangle style in a pale pink sparkly fabric but with gold discs in place of the traditional string straps to wrap around her midriff. (Sabrina Carpenter has also been feeling gold in her bikinis as of late.)
Lipa styled the suit with equally Barbie-worthy accessories: a cute glittery bag, a super high ponytail, and lots of bracelets and rings on each arm, plus dewy bronzed, sun-kissed skin. We can just see her lounging at the Dreamhouse pool, then hitting up a Barbie party later with a matching pink sarong draped around the suit.
The suit in question is part of the Versace’s La Vacanza collection, designed by the pop star and Donatella Versace, and it’s not the only adorable bikini in the lineup. Lipa also gave fans a glimpse at another design from her collab, a black and white polka dot triangle suit covered with cute bug decals.
Lipa is all about vacanza season; her bikini collection is seriously impressive and includes a Hello Kitty crochet style, a butterfly design, and a floral suit with lots and lots of gold chains. There’s a reason Greta Gerwig cast her as the Mermaid Barbie!
